We waited in the waiting room during the care of Boomer which was several hours. The waiting room was uncomfortable and because the facility uses white spot lights outside, all the bugs were coming in through the crack between the door; not an issue if there were one or two bugs, but the floor, walls and ceiling were literally covered with them. How about bug light spot lights??
I did not expect to have such a great experience at an emergency vet facility. When we called them regarding our dog they were extremely helpful over the phone getting us answers we needed to ease our concern. They were also very forthcoming with costs we may incur if we chose to bring our dog in vs waiting to take him to his regular vet in the morning. We decided to take him in that night so we didn't have to worry until the next morning. When we arrived, we immediately noticed the clinic was extremely clean! We were greeted and immediately taken back and put in a room. As we filled out the paperwork one of the techs took our dog back to talk a closer look at his toenail (which was twisted upside down and bleeding). She said we could wait for the vet, or a tech could take care of it, it was up to us. We told her we didn't care one way or the other...if the tech was comfortable and able to take care of him that was fine, but if she thought we needed to wait for the vet, that was fine too. The tech took care of him (clipped the toenail off and stopped the bleeding) and he is doing great. AND THEY DIDN'T CHARGE US A DIME!!! We were shocked!!!! If you have ever need an emergency vet, this is the place to go! Kind, honest and caring people!!!!! THANK YOU FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF RICK!!!!
Other than the waiting room the inside of the facility was clean and the staff extremely attentive to the needs of Boomer. Thank you for what you have done!!
I took my 11 year old Husky/Shepard dog, Cookie, to this emergency vet because he suddenly was in pain walking. I'm visiting the Leesburg area and couldn't get him to his regular vet. We were seen quickly by a tech who took relevant information and we waited less than half an hour for the vet. The vet diagnosed pain from arthritis and suggested pain medicine until we could get home to our own vet where diagnostic tests would be cheaper. They gave Cookie a shot for pain and pills for follow up pain. Our total bill was $160 which I think is very fair for vet services on a Sunday morning. Every one on staff was helpful and informative.
We brought our sweet baby to be euthanized. She had been diagnosed with cancer by another veterinarian that morning and rapidly declined. It was devastating. We were told by the other vet that she could live for up to 2 years... "you just never know with cancer." We brought her to Dr. Roberts and she took a look at X-rays and explained that our baby was too old at 16 for any radical treatment and that even the oxygen tank was not helping. She was honest with us and so incredibly sympathetic to our pain. She helped us come to terms and made the process as painless as possible for our family. Thank you Dr. Roberts for being an angel to us when we needed it most!
We took our giant dog to Leesburg Veterinary Emergency Clinic for bloat and he needed emergency surgery. The staff and Dr. Roberts were considerate, caring and understanding both towards us and our pet, who is doing great with his recovery.
Had to bring in my cat at 4 am on thanksgiving eve. The staff was very polite and helpful. The doctor was every knowledgeable and took excellent care of my cat. They were very helpful and let me know if I had questions or if he didn’t improve to contact them. The cost is not cheap but at 4:00 am I was glad someone could see him.
